We also offer Mctimoney Chiropractic, acupuncture, nutritional advice and a number of other alternative therapies, ensuring that we look after both your health and wellbeing. If someone has Botox or filler, do they actually need skin treatments?.

Injectables treat muscles and volume, but they don't treat your skin quality. So you can look smooth, but still have dullness, pigmentation, or laxity.

You've just had your SkinPen treatment. Here's exactly what to do next.

After your SkinPen treatment, what you do in the days that follow matters just as much as the treatment itself. We always talk through aftercare in detail at your appointment, but here are the questions we're asked most often.

1. Sun exposure - avoid direct sun for 48–72 hrs, wear SPF always
2. Retinols - pause for at least 5–7 days post-treatment (confirm with Lorraine for exact guidance)
3. What to use, gentle cleanser, hydrating serum, SPF
4. What to avoid - active acids, retinols, heat (steam, saunas) for 48 hrs
5. When to come back - we recommend a course of 3 treatments , 4–6 weeks apart

Last Thursday our clinic was full of colour and some skincare wisdom.

Our Et Al Make up event was one to remember. We welcomed Georgie Holdom from IIAA to Equilibrium for a very special Et Al Make-Up Event, packed out from start to finish with clients who came for expert advice, hands-on makeovers, and a proper pamper feel.

Georgie shared her skin knowledge and gave our guests personalised makeovers using the Et Al range, and we also brought out our new Observ 520x advanced skin analysis device, so everyone could see exactly what their skin needed, up close and in real time.

It's events like this that remind me why we do what we do, helping you understand your skin, feel confident in your own beauty routine, and have a genuinely lovely time doing it.
