🛡️ NEW NHS MenB (Meningitis B) Vaccination Service Coming Soon

Protect yourself before starting university or college this autumn.

From 20 July, eligible young people can receive the Meningitis B (MenB) vaccine FREE on the NHS at participating pharmacies.

You may be eligible if you are:
🎓 Starting university (or certain residential further education courses) for the first time this autumn and under 25, or
📅 Aged 17–18 and born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008.

✅ The vaccine helps protect against meningococcal group B bacteria, which can cause meningitis and septicaemia (blood poisoning)—serious illnesses that can become life-threatening very quickly.

💉 Two doses are required, at least 4 weeks apart, so it’s best to have your first dose as early as possible to ensure you’re fully protected before the new academic year. (nhs.uk)
