A bit more about me!

An area I feel passionately about is supporting those impacted by su***de. So alongside my psychotherapy practice, I volunteer for the Samaritans, answering calls. Why? Because I myself have experienced su***de first hand, I have managed my own suicidal ideation since a teenager and I want to break the silence around talking about it.

Talking about su***de doesn’t cause it, it prevents it 💚

On the 28th June (less than 3 weeks away 🫣) I will be joining my fellow Samaritans and taking on the Orwell challenge, a 25 mile walk! In order to raise money for the Ipswich Samaritans’s branch. I really like these explanations of what ‘actual’ therapy is often like! People who haven’t experienced counselling before will have their own preconceptions of what they think it’ll look like, it’s actually hard to explain because it is so many things and so different for each person. However, one thing remains the most important for me - a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart 💚 of it all.

Ever feel like you’re moving through life with a load of warning lights on?! This was my car this morning 🫣 and I felt the same! Maybe you haven’t even noticed the warning signs or maybe you’re someone who keeps going until they start flashing or worse, you breakdown/burnout…
