Tucked away in a peaceful corner of the grounds is a beautiful garden of remembrance — a place of reflection, love, and lasting connection.

This weekend, something truly special happened. After 30 years apart, an amazing lady was finally reunited with her husband. With the sun shining above and a gentle stillness all around, a beautiful and intimate service took place.

A moment of love, remembrance, and togetherness once more. ✨

Meet Barley 🐾

Barley will be turning five this August, and he’s a much-loved member of the team here at R Arnold Funeral Services. As a friendly labradoodle, he works from our Sutton-on-Sea branch, where he offers comfort and gentle support to the families who visit us.

He’s always ready to greet you with a wagging tail, and if you’re sitting down, he’ll happily accept a well-earned belly rub. On his best days, Barley might even be treated to one of his favourite sausages from the bakery next door!

Barley takes his role very seriously – he even has his own ID badge, which he wears with pride.

We’re very lucky to have him as part of our team 💙
