To all of our patients
At The Loddon Vale Practice, our team works tirelessly to provide safe, compassionate, and accessible healthcare to our local community. As many of our staff members live in this community alongside you, their safety, mental health, and well-being are our highest priorities.
Recently, several members of our team were personally targeted and named on social media. This behaviour is entirely unacceptable, and the resulting abuse has caused significant distress to our staff.
As a direct result of this ongoing conduct, effective 22.7.26, the front reception desk will only be open in person from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM daily.
How to Contact Us & Access Services
Outside of the 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM window, our physical reception desk will be closed. However, our team remains fully active, and you can access all services through the following channels:
By Phone: Call us for appointments, urgent queries, and general inquiries.
Online: Submit requests, order repeat prescriptions, or contact us digitally via our website
We operate a strict Zero Tolerance policy regarding abuse, harassment, or defamation of our staff—whether in person, over the phone, or online. We urge our patient community to treat our team with the respect and courtesy they deserve.
Thank you to the vast majority of our patients who continue to support our staff and treat them with kindness.

A notice to our patients regarding social media conduct
At The Loddon Vale Practice, our priority is delivering the highest standard of care to the Woodley community. Our team works incredibly hard under immense pressure to support you, and we take their safety, well-being, and right to a safe workplace very seriously.
We are aware of recent posts on local community Facebook groups that have publicly named, targeted, and defamed individual members of our staff.
This behaviour is entirely unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
Our team members are private individuals and local residents. Publicly naming, harassing or spreading untruths about staff members on social media violates our practices ZERO Tolerance policy.
We are actively monitoring these forums, and any patient identified as engaging in online abuse or defamation toward our staff will face formal action, which may include immediate removal from our patient list.
We welcome constructive feedback and have an official complaints procedure in place to resolve any issues professionally and fairly. If you have a concern, please contact our management team directly at [email protected] so it can be handled appropriately.
We want to thank the vast majority of our patients for their ongoing kindness, patience and support.

Following a high volume of enquiries regarding the MenB (meningitis B) vaccine, we would like to provide the following clarification:
Patients born before 2015 are not eligible for routine MenB vaccination under the current NHS immunisation schedule.
At present, there is no directive from NHS England to implement a wider vaccination programme in response to recent outbreaks. However, the vaccine can be accessed privately should you wish to arrange this independently.
We will provide updates via our website and pages if there are any changes to current guidance.
If you would like information regarding your child or children’s immunisation records, please visit the surgery with photo identification. We can then assist you in setting up proxy access via the NHS App.
