The programme will begin this term and is part of an evidence-based initiative delivered in selected schools and nurseries across Worcestershire.
🪥 What is supervised toothbrushing?
Children are encouraged and supported to brush their own teeth using fluoride toothpaste, helping them develop good oral health habits from an early age.
✅ This programme does not replace brushing at home, and staff are not brushing the children's teeth for them. Instead, it promotes independent toothbrushing and reinforces positive daily routines.
We look forward to seeing the programme in action! 💙

With the new school term just around the corner, now is the perfect time to swap it for a new one.

✔ Change toothbrushes/ toothbrush heads every 3 months
✔ Worn bristles don't clean teeth as effectively
✔ A good toothbrush doesn't have to cost a lot

Get your child's smile school ready by saying goodbye to the baby bottle.

✅ From 6 months, encourage your child to use a free-flow or open-top cup.
✅ After 12 months, a free-flow cup is the best choice for their oral health, especially if they're starting nursery or school this September.
✅ Start by introducing the cup gradually building up the use as your child gets use to holding it.

🚫 Never put sugary drinks in a baby bottle. Sugar sitting on teeth can cause tooth decay and lasting damage.

Healthy habits today help create healthy smiles for the future! 😁
