🌞 Keep Little Smiles Healthy This Summer 🦷

With the hot weather, let’s help keep our children’s mouths healthy by filling their school bottles with plain water 💧

🥤 Sugary drinks can increase the risk of tooth decay especially when sipped throughout the day.

A simple swap to water can make a big difference to your child’s oral health.

Let’s keep those smiles strong, happy, and healthy! 😁✨

🪥 Are You Brushing Your Teeth the Right Way? 🦷

Brushing your teeth is something we do every day but are we doing it properly?

Here are some simple tips to keep your smile healthy:

✅ Brush twice a day
Once before bed and one other time during the day.

⏱️ Brush for 2 minutes
Take your time, don’t rush!

🪥 Use a fluoride toothpaste
It helps protect teeth from decay.

🔄 Use gentle, circular movements
Make sure you clean all surfaces: front, back, and tops of your teeth.

👅 Don’t forget your tongue
This helps remove bacteria and keep your breath fresh.

🚫 Spit, don’t rinse
Leaving a small amount of fluoride on your teeth helps protect them for longer.

A few small changes to your brushing routine can make a big difference. Keep smiling! 😁✨

🌞 Summer Sips & Your Smile 🦷
What we eat and drink can have a big impact on the health of our mouth and with warmer weather on the way, it’s easy to reach for refreshing drinks without thinking about the sugar they contain.
🍹 Many popular summer drinks (like fizzy drinks, fruit juices, energy drinks, and iced coffees) can be surprisingly high in sugar.
🦷 Frequent sugary drinks, especially between meals, increase the risk of tooth decay.
✅ Tooth-friendly choices:

Plain water 💧
Plain milk 🥛

These are the safest options for your teeth and help keep your mouth healthy.
⚠️ Top tip:
Anything other than water or milk between meals can raise the risk of tooth decay so try to keep sugary drinks to mealtimes only.
Keep cool this summer and protect your smile! 😁✨

🍎 Are your snacks as low in sugar as you think? 🍎

Some everyday snacks we give ourselves or our children can contain more sugar than we realise — even the ones that seem “healthy” at first glance.

Things like flavoured yoghurts, dried fruit snacks, cereal bars, and juices can all quickly add to your sugar intake 🍭

✅ Top tip: Try to keep sugary foods and drinks to mealtimes only rather than between meals, This helps protect your teeth.
Small changes can make a big difference 💚
