🎨🌿 Art, Nature and ABI 🐂💚
Mel enjoyed a special moment in Headway Worcestershire garden this week, spending time with Ewen the Highland bull, one of her characterful pieces.
For many people living with an acquired brain injury (ABI), art is far more than just a hobby. Creative activities can help rebuild confidence, support cognitive skills such as concentration and problem-solving, reduce anxiety, and provide a powerful way to express thoughts and emotions that can sometimes be difficult to put into words.
Combining art with time spent outdoors can be especially beneficial, encouraging relaxation, mindfulness, and connection with nature. Whether it's painting, drawing, photography, or simply finding inspiration in the world around us, creativity offers opportunities for achievement, enjoyment, and self-expression.
At Headway Worcestershire, we see every day how creative activities help our clients discover new talents, develop friendships, and focus on what they can do, rather than the challenges they face.
