We say a young gentleman for an ear wax removal appointment today. He worked in the building trade and says the dusty environment may have made things worse. He reported years of reduced hearing and tinnitus (buzzing noise in his ear).

We removed a huge piece of wax as you can see and his symptoms resolved instantly.

He was understandably very grateful for our help.

We try keeping our posts as positive as possible however its our right to educate all our followers too. It is important to be seen by Physicians who can identify red flag symptoms and can act on diagnosis or a finding rather than just removing ear wax.

The 69 year old female client prior to the appointment was suffering with reduced hearing and pulsatile tinnitus in her right ear for many years but never had it checked.

After a recent ear wax removal via microsuction appointment our Physician discovered something very disturbing once removing the wax and having a full view of the ear drum.

Sometimes it's not always good news. The clients hearing marginally improved after the procedure. The Physician after routinely checking the ear drum once the ear wax was removed discovered the tumour (looked like a Glomus Tympanicum to our Physician).

Our Physician quickly referred to the GP after seeking advice from the local ENT doctors. The patient was referred and is due to be seen by our local ENT department in due course.

The quicker such things are identified the quicker things can be sorted!
