Good morning Tracy

Just wanted to write a few words about our mother’s service on Thursday.

The music, photo tribute, flowers along with the sunshine, the lovely countryside views was very fitting and couldn’t have asked for anything more.

You conducted the service and delivered the eulogy in a wonderful calm, personal and respectful manner and it was very much appreciated.

Thank you again.

Dear Tracy,

Just a note to thank you once again for conducting such a wonderful service on Friday. We were extremely pleased with all aspects of the process and in particular your professional and compassionate approach throughout. Your warmth and sincerity impressed all who attended this fitting and memorable tribute to ###x

Best wishes.

“Hi Tracy. We would like to express our gratitude for your compassion, warmth and dedication. Funeral service planning is a difficult time, but you made us feel at ease throughout the whole journey with your patience and genuine kindness, tailoring to our specific needs. Today’s service was beautifully planned by you with the utmost care and respect. Thank you for being a guiding light in the dark, both today and with Mum’s service previously.”

Take care

Dear Tracy,

Thank you SO MUCH for EVERYTHING you did … both in the build-up and on the day itself.

All that you did, and said, was pitch-perfect in every way. You were calm, sympathetic and welcoming to all: stepping inside our family and reaching out kindly/gently to everyone gathered there. And you took on the humorous bits in exactly the right way, which made everyone relax and smile.

Friends are messaging in, constantly, saying wonderful things about the day and for that I will be eternally grateful.

Thank you; you really are a star.

Warm wishes

Sadly this is so heartbreakingly true 💔 Just lately we are having more and more drivers on the roads being impatient and trying to push in on the Funeral Cortège’s in between the Hearse and the Limousines with bereaved family members in, and even on funerals with our horses too.

This is happening to the point where accidents have nearly been caused because someone just wants to cut in or to cut through.

I appreciate we drive slower, but this is someone’s final journey, and this is done out of respect.

Whether this makes you 30 seconds, one minute or two minutes late for where you need to be, think about that person who has passed and the families that are following.

A final journey is so precious 🤍

📢 Big changes at Worcester Crematorium!
Final preparations are underway for a major refurbishment at our Astwood Road site. This upgrade includes the installation of state-of-the-art electric cremators — a significant step toward a more sustainable future. 🌿⚡
The work begins on Monday 4 August and will last until summer 2026. During that time, funeral services will be held at the KGV Hub in Ash Avenue, off Brickfields Road, seven minutes’ walk from the Crematorium.
The grounds of Astwood Cemetery will be open as normal throughout the refurbishment, with visitors having full access to the graves of their loved ones and the majority of the memorials at the site.
The Book of Remembrance has already been moved to a temporary new home in The Guildhall’s Green Room, where it can be visited Monday-Saturday during the building’s normal opening hours. No appointment is necessary.
The first phase of the work, running 4-15 August, will see National Grid installing an upgraded power supply at the entrance to the cemetery. As part of this, four-way traffic lights will be put in place at the Astwood Road roundabout and traffic will be one-way only along Brickfields Road, between the junction with Blackpole Road and the roundabout. A diversion will be in place, along the northern part of Astwood Road, Bilford Road and the southern part of Blackpole Road.
The City Council is sending a letter with details of the work to all the homes on the diversion route.
Also from Monday 4 August, the KGV Hub will become the temporary venue for funeral services, for the duration of the works at Astwood Crematorium. Up to four services will be held each day, Monday-Friday.
After a service, cremations will be carried out at Redditch Crematorium. The ashes will be returned to the KGV Hub for collection, unless the family has made alternative arrangements with their funeral director.
With the Astwood Cemetery grounds remaining open, burials will continue as normal, both there and at St John’s Cemetery. It will also still be possible to scatter ashes in Astwood Cemetery’s garden of remembrance.
