At Empowered Minds, we don’t just work with young people…we build relationships that change lives. 💛

We believe connection comes before correction.That every young person deserves to feel seen, valued and supported before they can truly grow.

Through mentoring, sport, conversation, creativity, reflection and real-life experiences, we help young people rebuild confidence, regulate emotions and believe in themselves again.

Some arrive with self-doubt.Some arrive disconnected from education.Some arrive believing their story is already written.

Our job is to help them realise it isn’t.

Every conversation matters.Every small win matters.Every bit of belief matters.

Walk and talk isn’t just a break… it’s where the real work happens.

The dog needs a walk anyway we use that moment with purpose.
Big open space. No phones. No pressure.

Just movement, fresh air, and the right questions.

We call it “Steering Wheel of the Mind.”

Because when the body relaxes, the mind opens.
Emotions surface. Thoughts become clearer.
And what’s been bottled up finally gets unpacked.

The dog leads the walk…

We sit together at the end of each day with intention.

It’s a moment to reflect on what’s gone well, to recognise the wins, and to take ownership of the moments we’d approach differently if given another chance. That reflection is where growth happens.

This space is powerful not just for the individual, but for the group. Hearing others share their progress builds belief. It creates an environment where success feels normal, where effort is recognised, and where everyone can feel like they are moving forward.

And if someone doesn’t feel like they’ve “won” that day, it becomes a learning opportunity not a failure.

This is where perspective shifts.
This is where confidence builds.
This is where they start to feel like they are winning every single day. 💛

Tonight means a lot.

To be shortlisted for Unsung Hero at the Worcester Educational Awards…
and to be in that room… is something I don’t take lightly.

Because it made me reflect.

On the young people I meet every single day
the ones who remind me of myself growing up.

The ones who:
• Don’t feel understood
• Struggle to find their place
• Just need someone to truly see them

That was me.

And I know what it feels like when that support isn’t there.

So this is my promise

Whoever I meet…💛
I will show up.💛

Every single day.

With energy.
With patience.
With belief.

Because one person showing up consistently can change everything for a child.

This isn’t just coaching.

It’s about making sure no young person feels like they’re not enough.

We’re only just getting started.
