I am so in love with my new Insta360 tripod for creating content. I took it for a trial up at the 'Fun Field' with 3 of my boys and oooo errrrr it's funky! It will really support me in being able to create my training videos and demonstrations on how I work.

Watching these three engage in an activity together is so heartwarming. Frankie has only been with me for 2 weeks and he feels like he's been here forever. I forget just how early the days are for him!

Why do I chose to cancel sessions in this heat? Believe me when I say this isn't a decision I take lightly, but I know dogs and I understand how they struggle to regulate with the higher temperatures.

I've popped together a little fact sheet to hopefully highlight the things you maybe don't realise about walking, training or pushing your dog to work in weather they're not conditioned or used to it.

We have mini heat waves. We don't gradually warm up from April through to July and then have a 'summer' of 30°C for 2 months before cooling down. We go from 17-18°C to nearly 40°C with a days notice. Our dogs aren't conditioned for this.

I am proud to always put the welfare of dogs first and will always do so. Even if this means putting a training session back a week or two, working late nights or early mornings, and even losing income. It is always the dog first. Always.

If I cancel a session it's because I believe that's the best thing to do for your baby. Not for me. Not ever do I do it for me.

We're here and all set up and can't wait for the day ahead! Our first dog show and stand with The Well Rooted Dog 😃. Great stalls, fun dog show, BBQ and a great atmosphere. At a loose end? New client testimonial just in!

It's been a really long road working with Sue & Monty. I met Monty over 3 years ago now and in the last 18 months we've felt like what we were facing was insurmountable. However, I continued to push with the vets that I was convinced Monty was in pain which was causing his issues.

Working with Jayne @ K9 Bodycare - Canine Massage, Osteopathic Techniques & Canine Fitness and Lily @ Lily Moffatt Veterinary Physiotherapy we all were singing on the same hymn sheet.

Armed with evidence and theory we went back to Belle @ Wildbore Vetstop to ask for another look over him. Given he was fully insured we all decided to book a CT scan for Monty and were soooo glad we did.

We discovered at 3 years old he had Spondylosis and arthritic changes in his shoulders, neck and hips meaning he would be placed on a pain trial so help him with his pain issues.

Within 2 weeks we noticed a significant improvement with Monty meaning that the training could really take shape. He has come on in leaps and bounds now and I'm proud to have been able to work collaboratively with other professionals to get to the bottom of what was going on with this little man.

I am SUPER EXCITED to announce that at last minute I've been welcomed at Mayflower Animal Sanctuary dog show tomorrow; Scruffts. I will be there with a stall which will have toys, treats and my incredible Twiggy Tags Stock! I offer free harness fittings for all harness sales and will also be hosting a raffle to raise much needed funds for the sanctuary. I'm excited to be part of this and can't wait to meet likeminded people to tell them more about The Well Rooted Dog and my approach to training 😃.

'Gunna Need A Little Help'.... holy heck! I've never seen anything like it 😳. A massive shout out to Peanut & Pickle. Their detangle spray is perfect for a 'sticky' situation like this!
