Keep Moving Sports Massage and Fitness

Keep Moving Sports Massage and Fitness Anyone can reap the benefits from Sports massage. It has physical, mental, and emotional benefits. We all want to "Keep Moving" preferably pain free.

It not only supports muscle repair and decreases injury risk but also improves circulation and wards off stress. Many of us suffer with aches, pains, this makes us dysfunctional when we move as we subconsciously move around awkwardly to avoid pain. Over a period of time this could create other problems elsewhere in the body. Unfortunately because of how busy we all are in our lives we have a tende

ncy to ignore the aches and pains and hope they will go away. Unless you deal with the issues they could cause you bigger problems in the future. Most of us have a car, if that has a problem and is not working properly we get it sorted immediately. It seems we take more care of our cars than ourselves. "Why is Sports Massage so beneficial"? By manipulating the bodies tissues with rhythmical pressure it helps muscles repair by improving circulation which carries oxygen and nutrients to the problematic area. You will feel relieved of muscle tension, relieve muscle stiffness, improve range of movement, faster healing of strained muscles and sprained ligaments.

**Please note that Sports massage is not just for the athlete, anybody will benefit from a sports massage. Many of us sit all day due to our work commitments. This can have a detrimental effect on the body. Tension across the neck, lower back issues. You may do a manual Job which consists of you working one side of the body. This will make one side of the body very tight causing an imbalance through the body which again over time could cause major problems. People worry if a sports massage will hurt. I can't deny it, it will a little. As a therapist I apply light pressure constantly asking my clients if they are happy with that pressure. We do have to manipulate and get deeper into the muscle to release the tension but as soon as pressure is off you can feel the benefit. What to expect when you come for a treatment. You will, or already have filled in a Personal client card, disclosing any medical conditions you have and also state the area you are having problems with. First visit there is a consultation which will involve a physical assessment to check your ranges of movement. This will help determine what your treatment should be. I appreciate many people feel nervous and a little anxious but I guarantee I will put you at ease as soon as you arrive. I'm already looking forward to helping you feel better.

Why have a chosen to learn about human biomechanics coaching? The human body is highly complex, and maintaining symmetry throughout the body is extremely important. Proper balance and alignment help distribute weight evenly, ensuring consistent pressure through the joints, which can reduce dysfunction, minimise unnecessary strain, and help prevent injuries.

Challenging yourself is essential for maintaining mental engagement, developing focus, and fostering a strong sense of achievement. Stepping outside your comfort zone, even in small ways, encourages personal growth and helps prevent complacency. Without periodic challenges, it is easy to lose direction or become disengaged. Embracing new experiences and pushing your boundaries can have a meaningful and positive impact on your mindset and overall well-being.

Do you know anyone living with a stoma?

Last Saturday, I volunteered at a stoma social event, leading some chair-based exercises. It was a real eye-opener to see how many people are affected.

This is close to my heart—my mum is no longer with us and was nearly in this position herself, so I wanted to give something back.

A truly rewarding experience, and hopefully I brought a few smiles along the way.
Do you know anyone who has a stoma? On Tuesday last week I was contacted and asked if I would volunteer to do some chair exercises for stoma social gathering they were having. A lot of people are unaware just how many people are in this position. It was a real eye opener for me to how many people have stomas. My mother was nearly one of them but unfortunately did not make it. So I thought I would do my bit for the community. I went along and had some fun and brought smiles to peoples faces who have had to have a life changing procedure.

“How would you assess your shoulder blade mobility? If the shoulder blades are unable to glide efficiently along the rib cage, this can lead to a reduced range of motion at the shoulder joint. As demonstrated in this example, movement patterns vary between individuals. However, this is a fundamental, natural movement that should be achievable for anyone with properly functioning shoulders.”
