Earlier this week we welcomed Four Paws Animal Assisted therapy to Gateford Hill for an afternoon of Pet Therapy.

Everyone enjoyed meeting a selection of rabbits and having a cuddle as we reminisced about the pets we had when we were younger.

Today, we enjoyed a lovely trip to our local pub, The Brindley, for a friendship lunch. We were treated to a delicious two-course meal, followed by a wonderful afternoon of Vera Lynn songs performed by singer Lorrie Brown. We all had a fantastic time and even made some lovely new friends along the way.

To celebrate Father’s Day and the wonderful gentlemen who live with us, we welcomed singer Phil Lawrence for an afternoon of entertainment in our garden. Phil delighted everyone with a selection of Rat Pack classics and much-loved hits, creating a wonderful atmosphere filled with music, laughter, singing, and dancing.

Residents thoroughly enjoyed joining in with some of their favourite songs, making it a truly memorable celebration. As a special Father’s Day gesture, we also presented each of our gentlemen with a chocolate treat as a token of appreciation for the knowledge, wisdom, and life experiences they so generously share with us every day. It was a lovely afternoon enjoyed by all.

We couldn’t let World Cocktail Day pass us by! 🍹

The lifestyle team got creative and whipped up a variety of delicious mocktails, which were enjoyed by the people who live with us, and even a few members of staff joined in too.

Safe to say, we never miss an opportunity for a cocktail (or two!)!
