Last week brought our very first Mindful Movers class, and what a wonderful experience it was! 💛

Our ladies absolutely loved being part of a mother and baby group again, signing along to the nursery rhymes we all know and love. The familiar songs sparked smiles, laughter, and treasured memories of motherhood and raising young families.

Intergenerational activities like mother and baby groups can offer many benefits for people living with dementia. Being around babies often encourages nurturing instincts, promotes meaningful social interaction, and provides a wonderful sense of purpose and connection. Singing familiar songs and nursery rhymes can also stimulate long-term memories, support communication, reduce anxiety, and improve mood, as music is often retained even when other memories begin to fade.

It was a truly special morning, full of warmth, reminiscence, and joyful moments shared across the generations. We cannot wait for the next one! 🎶👶💕
