Those words weren't chosen by us – they came from our residents, families and visitors.

Every review tells a story, and together they paint a picture of what we're all trying to achieve at Highstone Mews Care Home – a place where people feel welcome, cared for and supported by a team that genuinely wants to make a difference.

A huge well done to Chloe, Cheryl and every member of the Highstone Mews team. Your kindness, compassion and hard work are recognised every day by the people who matter most.

💙 Sometimes the best ideas start with a conversation.

At Highstone Mews Care Home in Worsbrough Common, a recent discussion about perimenopause and menopause turned into something much bigger than anyone expected.

Our team talked openly about their experiences, shared advice, discussed everything from nutrition and exercise to mental wellbeing, and came up with some brilliant ideas to support one another.

The result? Every staff toilet will now have a menopause support box, and the team is introducing simple initiatives such as mood badges to help colleagues communicate how they're feeling and encourage supportive conversations.

It's a wonderful reminder that looking after each other is just as important as looking after the people we care for.

These ideas are now helping shape the Stronger Life Project, which will be introduced across Strong Life Care . The project is all about promoting healthier lives for residents and colleagues through education, prevention and wellbeing.

Whether it's learning more about hydration during a heatwave, managing long-term health conditions, supporting mental wellbeing or encouraging healthy lifestyles, we're committed to creating homes where everyone can thrive.

Because when our teams feel supported, our residents benefit too.

That's the Strong Life Care way. 💙

💛 We’re proud to be supporting Candlelighters — a wonderful Yorkshire charity dedicated to supporting children with cancer and their families.

Based in Leeds, Candlelighters provides vital emotional, practical, and financial support to families facing incredibly difficult times.

As part of our fundraising efforts, we’re inviting all of our followers — and followers of all out care home pages — to come together and help us make a difference.

🎁 We are currently looking for donations for raffle prizes to help raise as much money as possible for this amazing cause.

At Highstone Mews, we are committed to ensuring our team has the knowledge, skills, and confidence to provide the very best care and support to our residents every day. 💙

Recently, we welcomed our trainer, , who delivered an engaging and informative First Aid training session for our staff team, alongside a new starter from .

The course provided a valuable opportunity to refresh existing knowledge, build confidence, and remind everyone of the importance of acting quickly and effectively in emergency situations. The session was both interesting and highly topical, encouraging great discussion and teamwork throughout.

A huge thank you to Lizzie for delivering such a fantastic session, and well done to all staff who took part and continue to show dedication to learning and delivering high-quality care. 👏

Celebrating our staff is just as important as celebrating the lives of our residents, and today we have plenty to pop corks for!
Chloe Evans has dedicated an incredible 15 years to Highstone Mews and, throughout that time, has worked in a number of roles before progressing to Home Manager.

Supported by Strong Life Care, Chloe has become a true force for good within our Worsborough Common home.
She always has her finger on the pulse, knows exactly what’s going on, and brings kindness, enthusiasm, and dedication to every single day. It’s no surprise our home continues to thrive with Chloe leading the team.
