We always say Avon Manor Dementia Care Home - Worthing has the best residents,families,staff and friends . But did you know we also have the best neighbors? Marigold, Rufus, and their friends knocked on our door to ask if they could sell cookies and lemonade. Of course, we were happy to say yes. The residents loved seeing them, and the cookies and lemonade were delicious.Rufus and Marigold also help with our Poppies so thank you for thinking of us .

Saturday was a special day for Liz and her husband, Ross, as their son was getting married. Since Liz couldn't attend in person, they both watched the entire wedding from the cozy snug. We decorated the space with flowers and enjoyed classical wedding music. Liz was delighted to see Ross get married. Congratulations to the lovely couple, Ross and Tony ❤️

. It was a truly wonderful initial visit from Hartbeeps UK's intergenerational sessions. These sessions bring together babies, toddlers, and young children with residents from a care home. Witnessing the interaction between the residents and the children – them talking, singing, and simply sharing the magical experience of bringing the youngest and oldest generations together – was absolutely priceless.We are really looking forward to next month's session.Thank you to all the children and wonderful parents for bringing smiles to our residents. Wishing Stephanie a very happy birthday! We spent the afternoon singing and dancing to her favourite artists, David Essex and Cliff Richard. The best china was used, and Stephanie enjoyed time with her family. She thanked everyone, saying she'd had the best day. 🎂 🎈 🎂

It s been very busy at the Manor lately lots of photos of our activities, football,silent disco and bowling with our lovely Nicholas Pen*ston-Bird He's very funny and always gets everyone laughing with his jokes and spot-on impersonations.We love the bowling and residents are very competitive . Terry and Brian had a very close game, with Brian pulling ahead by getting a spare. Great job, everyone; it's tougher than it looks.
