A tropical protein smoothie with banana, frozen fruit and the naturally sweet flavour of lucuma.

Ingredients:
🍌 1 banana
🌿 2 scoops Banana & Lucuma Organic Protein Powder from The Organic Protein Company
🥭 2 handfuls frozen tropical fruit
🥥 Coconut water to blend

Lucuma is a fruit native to South America with a naturally sweet flavour often compared with caramel, maple or butterscotch. It’s a less familiar ingredient, but it works really well alongside banana and tropical fruit.

If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know The Organic Protein Company is a brand I use regularly and recommend. I like that this Banana & Lucuma protein powder is made with just three ingredients: cold filtered organic whey protein, organic dried banana and organic lucuma fruit.

From a nutrition perspective, adding protein to a smoothie can help make it more satisfying, alongside the naturally occurring carbohydrates, fibre, vitamins and minerals from the fruit.

The coconut water makes this a really refreshing smoothie, especially on warmer days, and gives it a lighter texture.
