A blooming lovely day full of fabulous flowers 🌷💐🌻. Happy 93rd birthday to Valerie who celebrated with a yummy lunch with her family 🎂🎉🎈. Welcome Frances who has arrived with us for some respite. She enjoyed a visit today from her family, her friends and her dog 🐶.

A morning of fun and games. 🎾⛳️🏹 We played armchair games including quoits, darts, bean bag throwing and keepy uppy with balloons🎈. The competitive side was brought out in our residents and Val, Pat and Celia won medals for winning games. The overall trophy winner for the most points was Val🥇 Congratulations Val 🏆.

We had a wonderful trip out today to Shoreham airport ✈️. The beautiful weather meant we could enjoy some time outdoors watching helicopters and planes taking off and landing. 🚁🛫☀️. Our resident, Ron, was a pilot with the RAF and then had a private pilots licence👨‍✈️and he told us some stories about his time flying, here in the UK and France. We obviously had the obligatory tea and cake 🍰☕️ which was delicious.

Another busy and enriching week. We’ve celebrated Beryl’s birthday, we’ve done quizzes 🤓🧐, listened to poetry, exercised 💪, meditated🙏, completed a couple of very difficult crosswords and danced 💃and sang🎤 to Tom Jones tunes. Fun and laughter all week. Happy weekend everyone.
