Closure of Business
The business premises at 30 High Street, Coedpoeth is due completion of sale. Due to this, Active Health Wrexham Ltd will cease trading and close permanently on 11th May 2026. Understandably, this news may cause some concern however official measures are being taken to ensure the orderly closure of the clinic. There are professional duties of care and a statutory obligation under General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and UK GDPR to ensure the closure will not affect your continuity of care and the security of your medical records. If you have an appointment booked at the Coedpoeth site after 11th May 2026, it is unfortunately cancelled. Apologies for the inconvenience this may cause you.

Security of Medical Records
Active Health Wrexham Ltd remains the data controller during the winding up period. The lead clinician Amie Quaife will ensure all records are relocated to a secure, GDPR-compliant location. In accordance with medical data regulations and the GCC, records will be retained for 8 years following your last appointment at Active Health Wrexham (or until age 25 for children)
Future Options for Clinical Care

The business landline will no longer be in service for Active Health upon completion of sale of the building. As the business is closing permanently, you have the following options for the continuation of the care you received at Active Health:

Foot Health Practitioner appointments are continuing with Andrea Parry on a mobile basis. Andrea Parry has been appointed the data processor for foot health records and all previous patients have been notified of this transfer. To make an appointment with Andrea in her mobile practice, please call her on 07787229011.

Chiropractic Appointments and Soft Tissue Therapy appointments
If you have a future chiropractic or soft tissue therapy appointment booked in at Active Health, Amie Quaife will be in touch with you to discuss your options. To ensure clinical safety and continuity of care, lead clinician Amie Quaife will be available for future appointments, record access or to answer any questions you may have at a new independent clinic. Soft Tissue Therapy appointments will be provided by Nicky Abel-Francis or Neil Demuth.

Following the announcement on the 19th December, Wales has entered Level 4 restrictions. However, both Sports Massage Therapy and Chiropractic are exempt from these measures as they are a “healthcare need”... you are therefore allowed to travel. All appointments will proceed as scheduled and we will look forward to welcoming you here in the clinic.

Update; following a governmental review of the classification “Massage Therapy”We are able to provide both Chiropractic and Sports Massage Therapy during this “Firebreak” lockdown; if you have an appointment booked it will be going ahead. We’ll look forward to welcoming you here in Active Health 😀

Update regarding “Firebreak Lockdown” 23/10/20 to 9/11/20.

According to guidelines, Chiropractic IS EXEMPT from these restrictions and will continue at the clinic throughout. If you have an appointment during this time, we will be here to treat you; it will go ahead!

Sports Massage Therapy however has been required to cease during this period, any appointments after this Friday will be from the week commencing Monday 9/11/20. Travel to the clinic (including across county borders) is permitted as it is for the purpose of a healthcare appointment and therefore a “legitimate reason to travel”. Your appointment reminder text or card may be useful evidence of this if needed.

We kindly request that patients arrive shortly before their scheduled time to minimise the period spent in the clinic. For this reason we also respectfully ask you to attend alone where at all possible- childcare arrangements may need to be considered accordingly.

Finally, we’d like to reassure you that we take your safety extremely seriously here in Active Health. With measures such as facemask wearing, screens, a strict cleaning regime, PPE, increased handwashing facilities and our new air handling systems to provide a constant supply of fresh air to each of our treatment rooms, your wellbeing is our top priority.
