ALL POSTMENOPAUSAL VAGINAL BLEEDING SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED.
It is not normal to have a period once you’ve gone through the menopause
There are many reasons that this can happen, but of course the one we want to exclude is cancer - mainly of the lining of the womb (the endometrium) or the cervix
Whilst on breast cancer medications the lining of the womb can become thickened and course bleeding.
However guidelines for suggest that all of this needs investigating as soon as possible
Remember most of the time it isn’t cancer but don’t ignore this symptom.
