We have received an update from Kent and Medway ICB regarding ADHD and autism services:

The significant demand for autism and ADHD assessments and treatment has resulted in increasingly long waiting lists and considerable pressure on NHS budgets.
NHS England has asked all ICBs to work with providers to agree the number of assessments/appointments they can offer during 2026/27 and the budget within which they must deliver them. Kent and Medway ICB is therefore strengthening its indicative activity plans (IAPs) with providers.
The ICB wants to ensure that those with the greatest clinical need are seen first and that the funding available is spent on supporting those who need it most. Routine assessments are not expected to start again before April 2027.

We have recently received a number of calls relating to ADHD referrals as patients are obviously concerned about the lengthy wait. Please be aware that the surgery has absolutely no control over this. Providers will triage referrals to determine clinical need. Unfortunately, we will not be able to expedite referrals or get our patients seen any quicker.

Wye Surgery is looking for a recommended handy person to complete some minor works at the surgery. This will include fixing signs on doors, installing clinical curtain rails, fixing a loose tap, fitting soap dispensers and toilet roll holders. Please can any recommendations be added to the comments below. There is probably around 2 hours work initially and we will keep you on our books as our regular handy person to contact as and when required.

We are pleased to let you know that power is back on at the surgery. We hope that there will not be any further interruptions.
