💙 Windmill House Memory Walk 2026 💙
This year, Windmill House will be taking on another 5-mile Memory Walk around Wymondham on Friday 9th October, raising money for Alzheimer’s Society, a charity that is very close to our hearts.
Working with residents living with dementia can be challenging—not only for families, but also for the dedicated carers who support them every day. We’re proud to come together to show our support and raise vital funds for such an important cause.

🍺🎶 International Beer Day Celebrations! 🎶🍺

What a lovely afternoon we had yesterday celebrating International Beer Day in the garden! 🌸☀️
Our residents Windmill House - Runwood Homes Senior Living, families, staff and visitors all came together to enjoy an afternoon of fun, laughter and music. We had our very own bar serving, of course, a selection of beers, as well as other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, with plenty of delicious snacks to enjoy too! 🍻🥨

The karaoke was a real highlight, with everyone joining in with their favourite songs, singing along and enjoying some gentle movements to the music. 🎤💃🕺

It was wonderful to see so many happy faces and everyone joining in together. ❤️
A fantastic afternoon of music, friendship and fun — enjoyed by all! 🥰🍺🎶

🌸 Another lovely morning today! 🌸

Our weekly activity -Windmill House - Runwood Homes Senior Living residents and Friend in Deed, was full of smiles, friendship and special moments. ❤️

Everyone enjoyed Friends in Deed and our little visitors, with lots of hugs, cuddles and happy reminiscing. 🥰
Such a beautiful morning filled with warmth, laughter and wonderful memories. 💕

Over the last couple of months, our residents have worked incredibly hard with our volunteer john and staff creating our vegetable garden, planting a variety of fruit and vegetables, and developing our wonderful wildlife bug area. 🌱🐞
Today, all that hard work paid off as we proudly picked our very own homegrown tomatoes, green beans, strawberries, and beetroot! 🍅🫛🍓
There is a real sense of achievement seeing the fruits and vegetables of everyone's hard work. Today at lunch we enjoyed a salad with our very own tomatoes and beetroot, We can't wait to see what we can grow next! 🌼💚

A Lovely Trip to Old Buckenham Country Park 🌿

Our residents Windmill House - Runwood Homes Senior Living enjoyed a lovely outing to Old Buckenham Country Park, travelling together by minibus and making the most of the beautiful surroundings.

We enjoyed some refreshments while taking in the peaceful views of the lake, with its beautiful water lilies. The weather was a little refreshing by the water, with a few drops of rain, but it was still warm enough for everyone to enjoy the day.

There was plenty of singing, chatting, laughter and reminiscing about days gone by. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying each other’s company and sharing memories from the past.

A lovely day filled with fresh air, beautiful views, friendship and happy memories. 💚

🍉 Celebrating National Watermelon Day!

Our residents Windmill House - Runwood Homes Senior Living had a lovely time celebrating National Watermelon Day with some tasty, juicy and refreshing watermelon! 🍉

It was the perfect treat, especially in the hot weather we’re enjoying today. Everyone enjoyed sharing a slice and making the most of this delicious summer favourite! ☀️
