In addition to the partners we have GP registrars who see patients daily. These are qualified doctors who are training to become General Practitioners. Currently we have Dr Sarah Gaffing working with us. Advanced Clinical Practitioners:

We have three Advanced Practitioners and these are able to see a wide variety of medical and mental health conditions. They can refer, diagnose and prescribe medications. Appointments are available everyday. They also form part of our emergency team and conduct home visits. Nurse Practitioners:

The practice has 3 highly trained nurse practitioners, Nurse Practitioners are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly. We have three Nurse Practitioners who are able to prescribe. Practice Nurses:

The team also includes highly skilled practice nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears. Health Care Assistants:

We also have two excellent health care assistant who support the nursing team with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement, spirometry, CVD risk checks, audiology and influenza vaccinations and dressings. HCA's also carry out new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one. Clerical Team:

We have a great team of clerical staff who work hard to accommodate all your needs. Any questions or difficulties you may have don't hesitate to ask and they will help in any way possible. Appointments:

All consultations are made by appointment only. You can arrange these by phoning the practice or if registered with system one, online (speak to a member of the team for further info). If your case is an emergency, you will be seen by a member of the clinical team but this is dependent on which clinician is available. A clinician is able to speak to you over the telephone if you require advice or if you are unsure as to whether you need an appointment with the clinician or not. Please ask the receptionist. Did you miss your breast screening appointment? Why not attend one of these catch-up sessions. More information below 😊

We are hosting a special breast screening drops in afternoon on Tuesday 16 June:

• 9.30am to 12pm at the One Life Medical Centre, Linthorpe Road Middlesbrough
• 1pm to 4pm, at the breast care unit at University Hospital of Hartlepool

It’s an open invite for women to come along and get a behind-the-scenes look at its state-of-the-art breast imaging facilities.

Senior radiographer Helen Clyde, said: “Unfortunately we do get a number of missed appointments. That’s why we offer these open days – so women are relaxed and familiar with the process.

“Please do not ignore the breast screening invite when it arrives. If the appointment is not suitable, please get in touch and we will change it for you to help make sure you get your regular mammogram.”
