Christmas can be an incredibly difficult time of year for many. If you are going through a complicated pregnancy, have lost a baby or (for one of many different reasons) you made a decision to end your pregnancy the expectation to be merry and grateful can be overwhelming.

No matter what your situation, it's important that you don't put pressure on yourself. No one can tell you how you should or shouldn't be feeling.

A few years ago a midwife from the charity Tommy's shared her tips for taking care of yourself if Christmas was going to be difficult. They are worth a look, many have found them very helpful.
