Cervical screening is one of the best ways to protect yourself from cervical cancer, so it’s important to take up your invitation when it arrives.

If you’ve missed your cervical screening, the NHS may invite you to take an HPV self-test instead. If invited, you can order a kit, take your sample at home or somewhere private, and return it free by post.

You can’t opt in to HPV self-testing – if you’re eligible, the NHS will contact you.

North Hampshire Urgent Care (NHUC) provides out of hours urgent medical care for people who are feeling unwell and are not able to see their own doctor because the surgery is closed.

If you require urgent medical advice or treatment please call NHS 111 and your problem will be assessed by trained call handlers who will advise you on the best course of action to get the appropriate help you need.

Did you know that 130 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer every day?

That’s over 48,000 people every year.

The earlier bowel cancer is spotted, the more treatable it’s likely to be. That's why it’s so important to learn and share life-saving information about the disease.

Symptoms of bowel cancer can include:

- bleeding from your bottom
- blood in your poo
- a change in your pooing habits. You might be going more or less often, or have diarrhoea or constipation that comes and goes
- losing weight without knowing why
- feeling very tired all the time without knowing why
- a pain or lump in your tummy
