WHAT has been indoctrinated into your life can be broken….

I moved my world to raise my children in an environment that was unfamiliar, culturally sensitive and socially awkward [for me not them]

This is where I found myself again and remained honest in my life

To leave your country | comfort and all the many things that seem identifiable was the very reason I left. It was to restitch myself to the person | the soul that became stretched by societal norms.

I began a book in 2020 and it will tell all the stories… but today my heart melted because my son, Leo told me how he had shared with friends of my story..

He didn’t have a father or mother who works 9-5 | he doesn’t have a two parents who still are together | he doesn’t have a ‘family’ home and his father and mother are not earning huge £££

What he told his friends was that his father was a Māori carver and his mother was a Yoga teacher who have followed their passion 🤍

I heard that his friends thought that was ‘pretty damn cool’

The lesson?

Break the rules of old school and follow your heart; be the maker of your own destiny and never let anyone tell you otherwise ✨🫶🏼🙏🏼🤍

WE ARE BACK!

After almost two years away studying, we are now back to host retreats. PAUS is an amazing venue that eases you into what a day retreat offers. This day retreat is a gift to yourself, to step away from the 'needing world' and carve time away for your own deeper needs.

What to Expect on the Day

We open the day with a nourishing welcome drink. Yoga practices follow and will include (assisted) posture that quietly welcomes you into your body; breath practices and mantra (pranam), to embody the experience then, gentle prop-assisted seated postures to relax tissues/fascia that have become rigid, stiff and sore. The practices conclude with a deeper, soft-centred (guided) body mapping relaxation (savasana) using selected essential oils. All this takes place in the newly furbished, custom built Yoga studio, that is surrounded by the natural beauty of the Cambridgeshire countryside.

Following the Practices

We head to the Hilltop Bistro for a nutritious 3-course lunch before taking the afternoon to relax in the Red Cedar Hot Tubs, saunas or even try an ice cold plunge to boost circulation! If you prefer you can sit quietly with a book, or journal, in the chill out spaces by the fire pits. The elemental balance of remedial Yoga practices, breath therapy, nutritious food and wholesome friendships, will bring you back to the heart of what physical, mental and soulful balance actually is. The day concludes with a gentle 'earthing' walk along the uniquely created, textured walking trail that surrounds the meadows. At the end of the walk, we invite you to experience a Yoga Nidra in nature, before receiving a token gift to keep.

SIGNS that you have a robust metabolism-

* You wake hungry. Morning hunger is a sure sign of a robust metabolism
* Your hands and feet are usually warm. Temperature regulation tells us about circulation & fuel availability for metabolic processes
* You poo 1-2 times per day. Regular BMS means adequate food intake, hydration, fibre, motility and digestive functions are on point
* You sweat easy- a great sign of a functional detox system
* You’re hungry every 3-4 hours reflects energy demand and regulation of blood sugar
* Your energy feels fairly stable most days. It’s not perfect but you don’t crash around 1-4PM
* You feel calm, physically warmer and not tired or cold after meals
* You recover well from workouts- a little DOMS but not floored for days
* Your food tolerance is higher: including gluten, dairy and sugar. Unless you have be tested for sensitivity
* The more flexibility you have with foods the more robust the metabolism is
* You’ll feel resilient: can handle travel | late nights| and stress without falling apart

ALWAYS listen to the rhythm in your heart.. it teaches a lot

Get quiet | sanctify |

There is so much noise in this modern 2026 world which is different to the ancient world

Seeking solitude is a great thing because it is exactly where we flow | flourish | create

Retreats are returning 2026 and I am looking forward to just that 🤍
