It’s been lovely this summer to be involved with other celebratory ceremonies.

10 years ago, I had the honour of conducting a wedding ceremony for Carl and Antony at Hazelwood Castle and we had a fantastic day.

This month, we celebrated their 10 year anniversary with a special ceremony to celebrate the occasion.

I was honoured to be asked to deliver a vow renewal ceremony for them at Heworth Golf Club and as Carl and Antony have been loyal fans of Tri-Starrs for the last few years, it was great fun providing the entertainment for the evening too!

In Loving Memory of Richard John Cameron whose celebration of life ceremony I delivered a few weeks ago with Hayley Owen Funeral Director where Karl Mullen played piano, we paid tribute to the Legend at his daughter's wedding by having a glass of red wine for him!🍷

We also lit a candle of remembrance for all those no longer with us.

It was an honour to deliver a wedding ceremony for Kim and Andy which involved a great deal of laughter and drinking of shots!🥃

Drinking carried on into the evening and a lot of dancing was had to the music supplied by the DJ

It’s always an honour to celebrate people’s achievements and special occasions in ceremonies and we had the honour of celebrating my parents Diamond wedding anniversary this weekend as they have reached 60 years of marriage! ❤️

1966 was a memorable year indeed!

We didn’t have vow renewal ceremony though as when the subject came up, my witty mother said they probably needed a bowel renewal rather than a vow renewal! 🤣

MARJORIE’S MEMORIAL 🌺

Having a Marjorie’s memorial ceremony in St. Sampson's Church was very special as it was a place she used to volunteer to help provide for others in a local community.

With close family and friends, we played her favourite music by jazz and opera artists and told stories about Marg’s life and character.
It was lovely to involve those attending who shared stories of their time with Marg.

Memorial ceremonies are a beautiful way of celebrating a loved one’s life and can be held in special locations at anytime.

Thank you to Marg’s family for asking me to be part of this special occasion.

To celebrate Marian and her late husband Howard’s love of Campervan holidays, Ernie the VW supplied by Mortons Funeral Hire led the procession just as he had done for Howard’s ceremony.

I had caught up with Ernie at the National Association of Funeral Directors Funeral Exhibition earlier in the year so it was wonderful to be working with him closer to home.

Thank you to Darley Funeral Directors for arranging Ernie and everything for Marian’s ceremony that was full of people!

Having Karl Mullen play a piece of music that held special memories of Richard at his ceremony at the crematorium was very special indeed.

It’s never easy delivering a ceremony for somebody you knew and loved but I was truly honoured to deliver yesterday’s celebration of life at York Crematorium for my dear friend, Richard.

We had wonderful live piano playing by Karl Mullen and we all attempted to do a singalong to Bohemian Rhapsody!

This was just the first part of Richard’s life celebrations as the second part is tonight.

Thank you to Hayley Owen Funeral Director for arranging the service and thank you to Steve Soult Limited for their amazing skills that helped clearly state that Richard was a legend. ❤️

Having a Land Rover hearse supplied by One Life Lived It - Land Rover Defender - VW Transporter Hearse Hire. added a personal touch to Paul's church service.

It was an honour to be asked by Paul's family to deliver a personalised tribute for the service in the church where he and his wife had been married.

I have had the privilege of doing this before for families that wanted the combination of a religious service and personalised celebration of life.

This is an option available if asked for and after working closely with the funeral director and Reverend, we ensured Paul received a special ceremony.

Having live music at a funeral service is always very special.

As this little clip shows, after transporting his piano to the crematorium, Karl Mullen played Edelweiss and Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata in tribute to Aggie’s German heritage.

It made it very special indeed and very moving.
