We had a wonderful day out yesterday at Burnby Hall Gardens for Heritage Day. ☀️🌸

The sunshine made the perfect backdrop as we explored the beautiful gardens, which are looking stunning with the lilies now in full bloom. Residents enjoyed a leisurely stroll through the grounds, stopping to admire the colourful displays and peaceful surroundings.

Over refreshments, there were plenty of smiles, conversations and shared memories as everyone reflected on past visits and their own gardening experiences. It was a lovely opportunity to enjoy the fresh air, spend time together and create new memories.

Burnby Hall Gardens is definitely one of our favourite places to visit, and yesterday was another very special day for all involved. 💜

Yesterday we welcomed Lucy Atkinson to Lavender Fields Care Village as our new Registered Manager.

Lucy brings over 20 years of leadership experience in health and social care with a strong background in residential care, domiciliary care, governance, safeguarding, quality improvement and operational leadership.

Having previously held dual registration for residential and domiciliary care services, Lucy will also provide leadership across both areas at Lavender Fields Care Village.

Her proven track record in governance, service improvement and person-centred care make her a fantastic addition to the team. We are delighted to have her on board and look forward to the journey ahead.

We've had a wonderful start to Care Home Open Week, kicking things off today with a relaxing and restorative sound bath session.

A huge thank you to Christian from The Sound Therapy Alchemist for delivering such a calming and uplifting experience. Our residents really benefit from the sound bath experience and so it was fantastic to welcome visitors into our home, and share this unique activity with them.

We're looking forward to welcoming many more visitors throughout the week and showcasing all that Lavender Fields Care Village has to offer.

🌸💐 A Beautiful Morning of Creativity 💐🌸

A huge thank you to florist Elen for joining us today and leading a wonderful flower arranging session with our lovely ladies. 🌷

We think that everyone surprised themselves with just how creative they were! Some truly beautiful floral arrangements were created, and the ladies were delighted to take their masterpieces back to their rooms to enjoy. 🌼✨

It was a peaceful, relaxing morning filled with creativity, laughter and lovely blooms. Thank you, Elen, for helping make such a special experience for everyone.

11.00am - 4.00pm: Full Open Day for all. Guided tours of our home, meet the team, complimentary refreshments and musical entertainment for singer Rachel Mills between 2.00pm - 4.00pm

Thank you to Sensory Stars, Dance, Movement and Music - Hull & East Riding for bringing the seaside to us this week! ☀️🌊

Everyone really enjoyed the seaside-themed sensory movement session. From the sound of the waves to the fun-filled activities, it was a wonderful morning full of smiles and laughter. 😊

Residents completed three seated dances, took part in some gentle exercises, and had lots of fun using our giant parachute 🪂.

It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved, keeping active, and enjoying the sensory experience together. A lovely session filled with movement, music, friendship, and fun! 💙

We’re so excited to be opening our doors for Care Home Open Week in June at Lavender Fields Care Village💜🪻

We’ve got a lovely week planned for our residents, families and local community to enjoy together. From a restorative sound bath, friendship café and our Open Day with musical entertainment with Rachel Mills...there will be something for everyone. Professionals and job seekers are also welcome.
