I’ve been an audiologist for over 20 years, it’s not often things come along that excite me!

Today I was in London learning more about the new Phonak Eon. Although I didn’t know its name, and couldn’t talk about til now, it’s a hearing aid I was introduced to in Switzerland earlier this year.

The two things that annoyed me about Sphere and Sphere Ultra, have been fixed! Firstly, the size. The original Sphere was a pretty hefty hearing aid by private standards. The new Eon Sphere is the same size as the non-sphere version. Smaller and lighter, a much neater hearing aid.

Secondly, the battery life for some users was a bit on the short side. Also fixed…Eon now has up to 38 hours use from a single charge!

A third bonus for me, and the feature that impressed me most in Switzerland is the new wind block. Seriously impressive wind noise reduction. A real game changer for anyone that spends any time outdoors.

Mya and her boyfriend paid a visit to rise. in York for a bite to eat and had a lovely time! Mya is coeliac and they are great for people needing gluten free options.

Caroline & I visited Willow Farm Cafe on Wigginton Road recently. Not our first visit, this time we enjoyed a chicken and bacon salad. The cakes looked amazing but we didn’t have room for one this time!

I don’t usually share things like this on our page but we love supporting local causes.

Some amazing women I know have set up a project to provide the hygiene basics for women in labour, in York.

2 women every week go into labour without the basics they need. That statistic made me really sad.
