π Fun Friday Fact: Autumn can be βblister seasonβ for your feet! π£
As the weather starts to cool, many of us swap sandals and lighter footwear for trainers, boots, and closed shoes again.
And that seasonal wardrobe change can give your feet a surprise. π
A few quick facts:
π Shoes you have not worn for months may rub in slightly different places
𧦠Thicker autumn socks can make familiar footwear feel tighter
π£ Extra pressure and friction can create βhot spotsβ before a blister appears
π Gradually breaking footwear back in can make the transition much more comfortable
Practical tip:
If you notice a hot spot or rubbing, stop before a blister forms. Adjust your socks, loosen your laces if appropriate, or use a protective blister plaster or dressing over the area before continuing. β
Your feet can change over time, so a pair of boots that fitted perfectly last autumn may not feel the same this year.
π Fun Friday question:
Have you brought your autumn footwear back out yet?
π₯Ύ Boots are already on
π Still in trainers
βοΈ Holding onto summer shoes
