Welcome Dr Matt Rodway - MBChB MRCGP (2017) ππ
Dr Matt Rodway graduated from Leeds University in 2012 π, going on to complete his GP training in West Yorkshire in 2017 π©Ί.
He has gained experience over the years across a broad range of medicine, including acute medicine, musculoskeletal/rheumatological conditions, menβs health and chronic disease management π
His previous involvement as Wakefield Five Towns Primary Care Network Care Home Lead provided valuable experience in palliative medicine, highlighting the need for a holistic approach that considers the medical and personal aspects of each patientβs health π€.
He particularly values clear communication π¬ and works to build long-term, trusting relationships with his patients.
Dr Rodway continues to work as an NHS GP in Wakefield where he is involved with supervising and supporting resident doctors early in their careers and training π¨ββοΈπ
Outside of medicine he enjoys mountain biking across the Yorkshire Dales π΅ββοΈποΈ, whilst at home he is enthusiastically outnumbered by his children π¨βπ§βπ¦ who ensure his energy levels, patience, and negotiation skills are regularly put to the test π
