Kirtan is the practice that moves me the most.

Out of all my practices, it brings me to a place of pure joy, my heart melts, the walls come down and I just cry tears of bliss.

Tears that remind me how connected I am to the universe, to the Divine, to everything around me.

Kirtan takes me beyond β€œmyself”, beyond my identity, beyond my body, beyond the physical constructs of our material world.

It reminds me I am spirit, I exist as part of something greater that even my limited mind can conceive.

In Kirtan, what I 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 to be true does not matter, what I π™›π™šπ™šπ™‘ to be true is everything. πŸ’«

Today’s Indigo Club was such a tonic.

And I just feel so blessed… and so grateful to be in a space with women who have the courage to show up vulnerably.

To share the messy parts of our lives… the messy parts of ourselves, to celebrate the strength and reflect back the magic we sometimes forget to see n ourselves.

When put a little light on the darkness and share it in a circle…, it benefits us all. We get to relate, inspire, feel less alone.

There’s something so powerful about saying things out loud… instead of letting them swirl around in your head.

We get to release it.
To be heard is cathartic in itself.

And to hear your own voice speak what you’re feeling… it’s deeply emotional, and such a powerful way to process.

And honestly… I don’t think there’s enough space for that in the world.

So I feel really blessed that I get to open that space…
and so grateful for the women who come and share it with me.

And honestly… it’s been one of the most liberating things I’ve done.

There’s something about musical theatre β€” I’ve loved it since I was a child β€”
that just lets me express parts of myself I think I kept hidden for a long time.

This song in particular has really landed for me.

Live Out Loud.

It feels like a call to stop holding back.
To stop shaping myself into something more acceptable.
To stop living inside all the expectations I’ve quietly carried.

And instead…

to live in my own way.
In my own colour.
On my own terms.

I think for a long time I’ve made parts of myself smaller to fit.

And I’m just… done with that now.

Maybe you are too.
