British textile artist Corinne Young transforms historical inspiration and the quiet rhythms of nature into spectacular, living art. Breathing life into botany using intricate 3D embroidered plant sculptures, every masterpiece is a fusion of handmade linen paper, salvaged vintage textiles, and rich, layered embroidery techniques. The result captures the delicate, breathing architecture of the wild.

LUGHNASADH

The corn is ripening and swaying heavy with seed. It is a season of plenty. The promise of Spring is coming to fruition. The dying Sun has spent his power and burns off the last of his energy in the blazing heat of Summer. Its power has gone into the ripening fruit and grains.

Lughnasadh is the feast of the corn harvest. Like the Sun-God, the grain must die - a life-giving sacrifice that sustains us through the coming dark season. This year’s seed will become next year’s crop and so the cycle continues for another round.

Lughnasadh is the last of Summer’s feasts; the wheel is inevitably turning towards the dark half of the year. It is a time to reflect on the creative power of manifestation and the divine spark within.

Grandmother Moon was at her fullest in Aquarius at 3.36pm. At that time I was in my favourite place with my favourite person*

Some of the names for this Moon are Wyrt, Hay and Herb. And Mead! Full Mead Moon!

To me this is my Moon, our Moon dear Aquarians ♥️ and the Moon where I birthed my daughter, Luna Pearl, little Lioness into the water, almost a decade ago! And she carries within her the Aquarian Moon, and she brought me the Leo sunshine gift of courage 🌞

We wandered up from the Nick of Pendle, with the wind dancing warm as we shared the threads of our lives..best friends since we were 13 ♡

And beloved Pendle glowing golden, even under a cloudy sky. Welcoming us. Jessica said "Pendle always heals us" and so she does. Always.

*obv equal favourite with my children ♡
