Zac (3) absolutely flying with his general development today 🌀⚽ Nailed that jump with a twist first time, coordination was spot on, great use of both feet on the dome, textbook demonstration right in front of the camera 👏

Not always the case though 😅 usually the second the camera comes out it all goes to pot! But today Zac showed exactly what these sessions are building, balance, coordination, and confidence, one session at a time.

This is what Socatots development is all about 💪

Big smiles watching this one 😊 Meet Rory, working on his sole touches and fighting hard to find his balance! You can really see him pushing through the wobbles! He finishes by striking the ball with his laces through his dad’s legs ⚽️ Brilliant effort, Rory!

😁 Had a brilliant trip down memory lane today…..Headed back to my other area in Milton Keynes and bumped into Oscar, a player I coach many years ago!

He joined the Socatots programme at 2 years old and I was his coach all those years ago! Now 15 years old and now doing work experience with our team in MK!!

We had to recreate the pose from all those years ago with him in his Brazilian Soccer Schools kit!

It’s great to see the impact we have on children, and a great reflection on his experiences that he wanted to come back and do work experience in the programme!

Look at Teddy here, practicing his tiny taps ⚽️ moving around to different number spots 🟠, here we are trying get the children to understand to keep control of the ball, not just kicking it really hard or really far. 🙌🙌

Have a look at this…. After practising the technique of the inside/outside taps throughout the session, we decided to play a game. Travelling around with the ball, but entry through the cones was only possible after 4 ins/outs. Once through, we have to close it for the next person! Great sharing! Mixing football techniques with games is a great way for our little ones to learn! We love these games at Socatots! ⚽️

👣 Two footed Oscar! The work we put in at is always using both 🦶 . By doing this repetition at such a young age, the children are able to dribble (as you can see in the video), pass, receive, juggle, balance and volley with either foot! Taught in the right way this is all possible! Fantastic control!

Oscar doing a great job with his skittle work this week at our York sessions. Listening for one of three parts of the feet, right foot or left foot, then the colour of the skittle to knock down! 👣 plus he had his fast 💨 running feet! Top work!
