Planning the baby shower?

You've found the venue.

You've ordered the cake.

You've sorted the balloons.

Now you're looking for something a little different.

That's where I come in.

My one-to-one tarot consultations create a quiet little corner that guests naturally gravitate towards. One by one, they wander over, curious to see what everyone else has been talking about.

It's gentle.

It's personal.

It's something they never expected to find at a baby shower.

Long after the presents have been opened and the decorations packed away, it's often the conversation people remember most.

If you're looking for something a little different, I'd love to be part of your celebration.

There are times when you've simply had enough of your own noise.

Nothing particularly terrible needs to have happened. Everything can be perfectly all right. You've just been carrying yourself around for a very long time. Your history, your responsibilities, the things you're waiting for, the things you wish you'd done differently, the conversations you're still having in your head three days later. Even the good things require something of us.

And every now and then, it all needs putting down.

Not sorting out. Just putting down.

Look back over your life and there are so many different versions of you in there. Things that once felt enormous have disappeared completely. People have arrived and left. There were periods you were certain would never end that you can now barely remember. You've changed your mind about things you once knew for certain. You've been frightened, delighted, heartbroken, bored, busy, in love, lost, absolutely sure of yourself and completely without a clue.

Yet through every bit of it, something has remained unchanged.

The place that witnessed it.

It's easily missed because it doesn't make any noise. It doesn't compete with whatever is happening. It doesn't need anything from you.

It was there when you were ten. It was there during the worst thing that happened to you. It was there on some completely unremarkable Wednesday when you were washing a cup at the sink and wondering what you needed from the supermarket.

And it's here now.

Sometimes recuperation isn't about getting your energy back so you can carry on.

It's recovery.

Not recovering the person you were before life happened to you or becoming a better, calmer or more spiritual version of yourself. No.

Just coming back to the place that's been here all along... The place that witnessed the whole bloody lot ...And resting there, in peace, for just one moment.

You are an infinite field of magical possibility - with experience enough to know when you're being called to do something intuitively.
If you're doing it with love, then it shall be perfect no matter what. ❤️

I’ve been meaning to write this for most of the day, and somehow here we are at the very end of Bank Holiday Monday.

Some people will have packed all sorts into the long weekend and others will have done very little. A day with nothing much happening can be lovely, but it can also leave a lot of space.

You make tea, pick your phone up, put it down again, find something to watch and lose interest in it, and eventually realise you’ve spent rather a lot of the day rattling around in your own head. There might be nothing particularly wrong and nothing you could even explain if somebody asked. There’s just been nowhere obvious to put yourself.

From experience, I can acknowledge that becomes far more noticeable when the dynamics of your existence have fundamentally changed. You can be doing perfectly ordinary things in a perfectly ordinary day and suddenly become very aware of what isn’t the same anymore.

And tonight we’re also sitting at the end of August.

September has always had a particular feeling for me. When I was teaching, it felt far more like New Year than January ever did. There was a whole school year ahead and a natural sense of looking forward.

We notice change more in September because there is so much around us to show it to us. The gardens and trees will change, the light will alter and eventually the temperature will follow, although after the heat we’ve just had, I doubt tomorrow morning will look particularly interested in the fact that August is officially over.

None of it starts tomorrow. Change has been happening all along.

Human change is no different. Sometimes something happens in an instant and there is a very definite before and after. Other changes are so gradual that we only recognise them when something that once consumed us no longer has quite the same hold, or we find ourselves responding differently to something that would once have pulled us straight back into an old way of being.

We notice the evidence. The transformation was already happening.

And that’s where the balance is as we move into September. We need things to look forward to. We make plans, put things in the diary and wonder what might be around the corner. But we can become so occupied with what happens next that we miss what is happening now.

A new beginning doesn’t have to mean waking up tomorrow with a different life. It can be a clearer perspective on the life that is already here, a calmer frame of mind and less need to know exactly where everything is leading.

In a little while, according to the calendar, it will be September.

There will be things to look forward to and things none of us can possibly know yet.

For now, it’s still Monday night at the end of August.

And that’s where we are. Together. ❤️

If you’ve just woken up, still a bit bleary-eyed, picked up your phone to see what the day has in store and I’ve appeared, then maybe you need this reminder.

You don’t have to work out the whole day from under the duvet.

There are people you haven’t spoken to yet, moments you couldn’t have planned for and plenty that may turn out differently from the version already forming in your head.

Give today a chance to meet you before you decide what it is.

Good morning. Here if you need me.

It's me, Lizzie! 👋 🤗☺️✨️

If you’re interested in learning to read and interpret the cards, whether for yourself or others, I provide private tuition.

If you've been wanting to explore something more spiritual but you don't know where to start - or maybe you have a tarot deck gathering dust because you didn't have a clue where to start then you can see this as a sign to investigate.

My ✨️APPRENTICES✨️are all different ages and most start from scratch. But it's very hands on (you'll be reading for me 🙂😝) and I can promise you each lesson will feel like the therapy you didn't know you needed. 🥰.

It really is time away from the world, just for you.

I offer daytime, evening and weekend options and we can work around the time that's best for you.

Looking forward to hearing from you! 🃏☕️✨

What's the spontaneity forecast at present? If you feel like just taking a leap into new territory that's calling you then trust yourself on this one. In one way or another, the yearn for freedom and search for peace is behind that feeling. If it's strong enough then you'll follow it, regardless of others opinions. Lizzie

If you’ve got a little group of people you keep saying you need to get together with, this might be your excuse.

I run Private Tarot Nights from my little Tiny House of Tarot in Ystrad Mynach, for groups of four to seven people.

You bring your people and the place is yours for the evening.

There are cards, plenty of conversation, usually a lot of laughter, the odd moment nobody saw coming, and everyone gets involved. No experience of tarot needed whatsoever.

£33 per person, based on a minimum of four.

If you already know exactly who you’d bring, tag them, stick it in the group chat, do whatever you need to do — then message me and we’ll fix a date.
