I have difficulty appreciating myself sometimes. Especially outside of bodybuilding- which has been a large part of my last few years.
But my next few will not include the stage personally. And that type of reward and appreciation is satisfying to me. 🏆
However, I am relearning satisfaction and appreciation outside of that one aspect of my life.
The rest of the year is going to fly by. So I am trying to take time to reflect on my year. I’ll be hitting a milestone in a few months, but to me, it is just another year. I do not mean this in a bad way at all.
I am in the midst of working on a dream I’ve had for years.
They’re probably going to be the most difficult and challenging years of my life. It can be easy to get engulfed in the stress. Sometimes it honestly feels dreadful.
But these years spent will pay off. And while I am looking ahead to that day, I can’t forget to do my best in appreciating my life right now too.
Because it is great. It is full.
Because it is something I was not sure if I could or would ever do.
Because I have great support in my life. , friends, new friends, family, community.
I’ll still be training, bodybuilding if you will. These years will also be incredibly important for that. Just because you have not plans for a show or the stage, does not mean you are not a bodybuilder anymore.
Although I am learning better appreciation for the other aspects of my life, competing and the sport are a true passion of mine. And meeting so many new people, I am understanding that this is really a part of who I am.
