Today was about bringing healthcare closer to the people.
Our Mobile Clinic team stepped out of our facility into the heart of Doryumu - Shai Hills, for a community health outreach under the theme “Controlling Hypertension Together.” Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is often called the “silent killer” because it can damage the body for years before symptoms appear. Our goal today was simple: screen early, educate practically, and empower people to take control of their health before it becomes a crisis.
ACTIVITIES:
Free BP Checks
Free Blood Sugar Checks
Diet Counseling.
Weight Monitoring
It was encouraging to see the turnout and the willingness of the community to listen, ask questions, and take the first step toward healthier living. Many people left with a clearer understanding of their numbers and what to do next.
None of this would have been possible without our partners. We extend our sincere gratitude to Top-Up Pharmacy and Ideal Air Services Ghana LTD for sponsoring this outreach. Your support allowed us to provide these services free of charge and reach people who might not otherwise have access to screening.
To the people of Doryumu; thank you for welcoming us, for engaging with our team, and for prioritizing your health today. This is not a one-day event. Controlling hypertension is a daily commitment to check your BP, eat better, move more, and follow up with your healthcare provider.
If you were screened today and were advised to follow up, please visit St. Andrew Catholic Hospital Kordiabe. Our OPD is open to review your results, answer your questions, and help you create a plan that works for you. Early action is what makes the difference.
At St. Andrew Catholic Hospital Kordiabe, our mission goes beyond treating illness. We’re here to prevent it, educate on it, and walk with you in the journey to better health.
Let’s keep controlling hypertension together. One check, one conversation, one healthy choice at a time.
