I am grateful for the opportunity to share, listen and to contribute to conversations about Women’s Health.

It happens in rooms like this , where women and men pause, ask questions and share meaningful insights about Women’s health.

It was a delight to meet with some of the staff of Bentsi-Entsil Letsa & Ankomah and subsidiaries the other day .

One conversation at a time , I’m here for You.

Some of my most meaningful work has happened outside the confines of my Consulting room and away from my theatre bed.

Healthcare doesn’t always happen in hospitals.
It starts with conversations like this one .

From “ Cradle to Menopause” is one of my most intriguing health talks . It sparks questions and conversations which can go on and on .

I was honoured when I was reached out to and asked to speak to the staff of Bentsi-Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah and subsidiaries.

And whew!! The questions and contributions from them blew my mind ( let’s talk sharp brain )

Hoping to be back again sometime and to continue this conversation in many other corridors and meeting rooms .

This could be you and your colleagues but you haven’t reached out to me yet.

✍🏽Pregnancy changes how we think about a lot of things and this should include skincare.
The skin is the largest organ of the body and I cannot overemphasise how easily some ingredients are quickly absorbed , enter the blood stream and can be toxic to the baby (embryo).
So, please avoid :
•Anything Retinoids, Retinols because exposure to these has been linked to birth defects.
•Hydroquinone which is used for skin lightening and pigmentation.
•High-dose Salicylic Acid found in skin peels and strong acne treatments.
•Benzoyl Peroxide which is common in acne treatments. It’s not strictly banned but it’s recommended to limit its use.
Please read labels always before using a product .

I have consulted with women who waited years before seeking help.

They may have noticed subtle changes… a slightly heavier period , a bulge in the lower abdomen, menstrual cycles that have become “a little bit” irregular ,unusual vaginal discharge that keeps recurring , trying for months or years to conceive, acne, weight changes, or excess facial hair.

Conditions like fibroids ,PCOS, infertility, endometrial hyperplasia (just to mention a few Gynae conditions ) can be present but quietly undiagnosed.

Seeking answers early and from the right sources brings clarity and the chance for early intervention.

If this sounds like you or someone you know, this is your sign to get evaluated.

After every community outreach, I have the same lingering thought. It isn’t that women do not care about their health . Many women don’t get the right health information. Sometimes when they finally get the information , it usually comes too late.

I am grateful to be a part of spaces (social media), communities and groups where women feel comfortable to ask me questions, share opinions and start the conversations about health that matter.

Ambassador Duties 💙 ….

Clean water shouldn’t be a barrier to safe care 💧. No woman should have to worry about delivering a baby because there isn’t access to clean water.

Water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) are the basics of healthcare . They aren’t a privilege.

I’m proud to be a Campaign Ambassador for 💧 ‘s Time To Deliver campaign.

Clean water saves lives . It’s about care and dignity

You can Join the global movement demanding world leaders deliver clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene for every woman and I will be showing you how to …
