A step into culture. Yoga studios in Ghana are the present-day “culture nest.”

This month, Lonely Planet named Ghana
the best place to visit in November. Topping the list over
Canada, Southern Vietnam, Panama, Nepal,
New Zealand and Malta.

Yoga in Ghana factors largely into the annual travel index,
and it’s an element that more and more culture analysts,
ranging from urban culture strategists to wellness industry
researchers are beginning to acknowledge.

The info vortex: Bliss Yoga Accra, which opened its doors in 2013, has had hundreds of digital inquiries that center trips to Accra about the availability of yoga.

Culture Nests: Ghanaian yoga studios are a gem, an influential
giant in Ghana’s experiential ecosystem, with many a traveller
booking yoga as part of their trip planning.

So where does that leave us? Studios have an opportunity to
support the cultural curiosity with meaningful programming
that reflects Ghana’s holistic wellness identity, draws from
long-standing healing traditions, and champions
African voices in the sector.

Also -TIME CHANGE on SATS: -*Rama’s sat power yoga class is now rescheduled to 10am.* Emmeline will teach the Rise Yoga class at 9am on Sundays, starting this weekend. Founder Nana is on for the 1130am on Saturdays this month, and Dr. Wanida Lewis launches her 6pm yin/restorative Sunday class this weekend. ALL LOVE!

Leading Well - The Power of Women in Petroleum

This month founder Nana Amoako-Anin, was thrilled to be called upon to lead a wellness talk and yoga session for the Petroleum Ladies Association, which is a women’s association of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC). In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month it was true standout moment of this year so far. A grand thanks to Judith Ampomah Owusu, President of (PELA).

The Petroleum Ladies Association challenges the long-standing norms of leadership in the energy sector — one that has historically been led by men. By occupying space, they model that effective leadership is about collaboration, resilience, and bringing fresh perspectives to complex systems.

Relocation of Classes
A kind note to keep you abreast that the studio has just been informed that the GoodBox Gym is vacating its labone location and relocating. We are committed to sharing promptly when information is known. This update reflects that.

Goodbox GH To Close Its Location
Therefore, tomorrow, Oct. 25th, will be our last Saturday of classes at Goodbox. Join us next Saturday, Nov. 1st, as we will start at our new location.

Community Impact
Bliss Yoga Accra takes massive pride in our community impact! And cannot wait to continue practising with you.

We Value Consistency
With a 12-year presence, group classes are a continual trademark for Bliss Yoga Accra. And so we will continue to give the public a “no-holds”, no-pause transition.

New Location
As of Nov. 1st, we are excited to announce that classes will shift to the 369 Gym & Wellness Center located near the ANC Mall in East Legon. It is a centrally located, beautiful space offering wellness amenities that include: IV therapy, cryotherapy, holistic medical attention [doctor and nurse on staff], refreshment bar, yoga/fitness studio, a pilates reformer studio, lobby/plush lounge area, ladies only, and co-ed workout spaces.
