🍼 Celebrating World Breastfeeding Month 2026! 🍼

Kade Government Hospital marked the climax of World Breastfeeding Month with a refresher training for selected midwives from across our catchment area, organized in collaboration with the Kwaebibirem Municipal Health Directorate.

The program was spearheaded by our Institutional Public Health Unit and facilitated by the Resident Nutritionist (Jacqueline Annor Botwe), Municipal Nutrition Officers, Ms. Linda Frimpomaa and Mr. Samuel Bimpong.

The training focused on sustaining the progress made in ensuring every newborn is breastfed within the first hour of birth, a simple but powerful step that saves lives and gives babies the best start.

A big thank you to our dedicated midwives and our partners at the Kwaebibirem Municipal Health Directorate for their continued commitment to maternal and child health. 💙

Miss Yvonne Bosompemaa, CEO of the Yvonne Foundation, transformed her birthday celebrations at the KGH Maternity Ward today, turning a special day into a memorable gift for new mothers!
She was warmly received by Ms. Gloria Agbenyo, the Senior Midwife and In-charge of the Maternity Ward, and together they distributed gift hampers, ensuring every mother felt celebrated and appreciated.

CLEANLINESS IS NEXT TO GODLINESS AND WE TOOK IT TO HEART!

What an incredible sight to behold! Our Deputy Chief Nursing Officer (DCNO) led by example today, rolling up her sleeves alongside staff and management members for a general cleaning exercise across the hospital premises.

This wasn't just about tidying up it was a powerful demonstration of our commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for every client who walks through our doors and every staff member who serves with dedication.
From the wards to the corridors, from the offices to the common areas, everyone participated fully. No task was too small, no role too senior. When leadership leads from the front, excellence follows!

But wait… it wasn't all work!
As a special treat, we turned up the music and enjoyed a Kenkey Party after the cleanup! The beats were on full blast, spirits were high, and the sense of community was even higher. Because at our hospital, we believe that service should be joyful, and teamwork should be celebrated.

This exercise reflects our core objective: a healthy environment produces healthy outcomes for our clients, our staff, and our entire hospital family.

For World TB Day 2026, the Kade Government Hospital team didn't just stay in the wards, we took over the town! 🏃‍♂️💨

Knowledge is the best companion for any expectant mother! This week at our Pregnancy School, we had an incredible masterclass led by our Principal Midwifery Officer (PMO) on a topic every mother-to-be needs to master: THE STAGES OF LABOR. 🤰✨

From the first contraction to the moment you hold your miracle in your arms, our PMO broke down the journey into clear, manageable steps. Our mamas left feeling confident, knowing exactly what to expect during each phase of birth. 🏥💪

🌟 We were honored to have our Deputy Director of Nursing Services (DCNO) join the session to add her voice of encouragement! She reminded the mothers that they are never alone in this process.👩‍⚕️❤️
and that our priority is to ensure you have a safe, dignified, and beautiful delivery experience."

🎉👂 World Hearing Day 2025: We Turned Up the Volume on Little Ears! 👂🎉
What a beautiful, heart melting day it was! Yesterday, our ENT Unit didn’t just “observe” World Hearing Day, we celebrated it with purpose, laughter, and lots of tiny high-fives! 💙
We started right at home in the hospital, moving from ward to ward like hearing superheroes on a mission. First stop: the Kids Ward, where brave little patients got their ears checked with big smiles. Then we popped into the Crèche, where curious toddlers stared wide-eyed as we made the screening feel like a fun game. By afternoon, we joined the beautiful mummies at the Public Health Unit’s Post-Natal Day, because healthy hearing starts from day one! 🍼👶
But we weren’t done yet. Oh no! To crown this special day, we jumped into the Otumi sub-municipal and took the party to the schools! At Presby School and Model School, classrooms turned into mini hearing clinics. Hundreds of bright, energetic children lined up, giggling and waving as we screened every ear. The excitement in the schools was electric you could literally feel the future getting brighter! 📚✨

Huge shoutout to our amazing ENT team, you didn’t just screen ears, you planted hope! 🙌
