At ENRH, Nurses marked International Nurses Day with a renewal of the commitment to care and show of affection to the nursing profession. The Day's celebrations was spiced up with a visit by kids from the Kharis International school at Anaji to motivate all nurses on duty.

“Government’s Free Primary Healthcare program will reduce crowding in facilities like Effia Nkwanta” The Deputy Minister of Health and Member of Parliament for Essikado, Dr Grace Ayensu Danquah made the statement whilst donating some medical equipment from GIZ and AYA to Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital. According to her, equipping primary healthcare facilities will attract patients to the periphery and enable Effia Nkwanta to receive proper referrals.
Present at the donation ceremony were Western Regional Director of Health Service Dr Marion Okoh Owusu, Deputy Director Clinical Care, Dr David Owusu, Deputy Director Administration Mr. Jeremiah Timob, Sekondi Takoradi Metro Health Director Dr Pius Mensah, Medical Director of the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital, Dr Habib Ahmed Head of Hospital Administration Mr. Michael Danso Chief Nursing Officer Grace A. Kenyah among others.
