AwarenessNow Foundation embarked on an outreach to St. Charles and Tamale Girls Senior High Schools in Tamale, as part of activities to mark the climax of the World’s Mental Health Awareness week.
Mr. Bernard Zan, a director of the Foundation in the company of Dr. Anthony Siibu and Dr. Joseph Kazussah, spoke to the students on Depression, it’s causes, effects and suggested remedies.
The students and teachers from both schools agreed that the topic Depression, was timely especially as a lot of young people feel pressured to engage in relationships, unsafe s*x, illicit drugs, unhealthy social media trends, just to name a few.
They thanked the foundation for such an initiative.
