CEO EULOGISES STAFF ON WORKERS’ DAY
Chief Executive Officer, Dr. (Med) Abubakari Bawah Abdulai, has praised health workers for their dedication and sacrifice. The commendation was contained in a speech read on his behalf by the Acting Director of Nursing and Midwifery Services, Madam Rebecca Mathew, during the May Day games organised for staff.
According to the CEO, May Day holds special significance for health professionals because of the critical role they play in society.
“As health workers, this day carries even deeper meaning for us. Every day, through your skill, compassion, and commitment, you save lives, restore hope, and bring healing to countless people. Your service often comes with long hours, personal sacrifice, and immense responsibility. Today is therefore not only a celebration of workers but a celebration of you,” the statement said.
Dr. Abubakari Bawah also reminded staff of the growing importance of health and wellness in the workplace. “Emerging trends in public health continue to show that physical activity and recreation are no longer luxuries — they are necessities.
