A follow up visit to the various women groups with our partners 100WEEKS revealed effectiveness of the cash support program to women. โ€œAs a widow, it was difficult to afford basic needs like food, sometimes I and my children ate once in a day. With the Cash support, I can now afford to feed myself and the children 3 times a day with nutritious mealsโ€ Sanatu UNICEF Ghana CARE International in Ghana Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection

With over 500 stakeholders (Young people, teachers, and parents) engaged, our project is already showing measurable progress in reducing bullying and strengthening peer relationships in schools.

When young people understand Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) effectively, it not only builds a future where young people feel safe and heard, but it also improves their academic performance and empowers them to contribute positively to their communities in the future.

In our RBBV project, we encourage young people with lived experience of bullying to speak up during Anti-Bullying Club sessions because sharing helps break the silence, builds confidence, and reminds others they are not alone. Through storytelling and guided support using Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) tools, young people develop self-awareness, empathy, and the courage to stand against bullying.

When one voice speaks, many others find the strength to rise.

Bullying is not just about the , it also reflects the struggles of the one causing harm. Thatโ€™s why our Reducing Bullying Behaviour and Victimization Project (RBV) goes beyond discipline to focus on understanding, counselling, and support.

Through counselling:
๐Ÿ‘‰Victims regain confidence, find their voice, and also feel safe again.
๐Ÿ‘‰Bullies learn empathy, accountability, and healthier ways to relate with others.

This is why we work closely with mental health officers and integrate the Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) tools so that young people build self-awareness, manage emotions, develop empathy, and form positive relationships.

Is bullying a rite of passage or a harmful cycle weโ€™ve normalized for far too long, especially in our Junior and Senior High Schools? ๐Ÿค”

Every child deserves to feel , , and . Together, we can shift the narrative.

Letโ€™s raise a generation that chooses compassion over cruelty because bullying is NOT a rite of passage.
