NEWS! Spectator Columnist, Rev. Counselor Prince Offei has been inaugurated onto the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Presbytery Family Life Support Committee to help shape marriage and family ministry worldwide. Published in the Spectator GH Newspaper on August 1, 2026.

Led by General Overseer Rev. Dr. Mensa Otabil, and General Secretary Rev. Morris Appiah, the inauguration sets the structure for ICGC’s global operations.

Among those inaugurated is Rev. Counselor Prince Offei (already a Lecturer and Faculty Member of Central University's Daniel Institute), appointed June 29, 2026 to the ICGC Presbytery Family Life Support Committee.

The committee will lead ICGC’s work on marriage enrichment, family crisis support, parenting, mental health, and ADR for reconciliation across all ICGC churches worldwide.

Rev. Counselor Prince Offei, a Reverend Minister, Mental Health Professional, Founder of CPAC, ADR Expert, Lecturer, Author, and Marriage Counselor known for his work with the Spectator Newspaper, brings decades of experience to the role.

Committee work begins effective July 9, 2026.

"The party ends. The hangover fades.
But for many homes, the damage is just beginning."

"As a marriage counsellor and mental health professional in Accra, I have sat with wives who say, 'The man I married disappears every evening,' and husbands who whisper, 'I don’t know who I am living with anymore.

They are not just describing drinking. They are describing alcoholism-and its slow, painful erosion of mental health, trust, and family life.

Let us be clear: Alcohol use is not the same as alcoholism. Many Ghanaians drink socially at funerals, weddings, and weekends without harm. Alcoholism, also called ALCOHOL USE DISORDER, is when drinking becomes compulsive, despite consequences to health, job, and relationships."
