This patient had multiple facelifting and rejuvenation procedures by other plastic surgeons in
Beverly Hills before coming to Dr. Anastasatos. She had prior deep plane and SMAS facelifts.
However, she was unhappy because she had residual jowls and recurrent jowls after her prior
facelift procedures. This is something we see commonly because most deep plane facelift and
SMAS facelifts do not have the potential to lift and effectively suspend the malar fat pad and
therefore provide long term correction of jowls and also offer improvement of the corner of the
mouth and cheek fullness.
Dr. Anastasatos performed his minimally invasive midface suspension (MIMS) technique or
“scarless” facelift. It is a form of percutaneous facelift. This means that no cuts are made
around the ears and no skin is detached and elevated. The result was an improvement of her
sagging jowls and a correction of her cheek mass and projection.
At the same time Dr. Anastasatos performed a lip lift on her.
This beautiful and elegant lady returned 7 years later to bring her daughter to Dr. Anastasatos
to perform the same operation on her daughter. Therefore, we are happy to present you this
patient’s progression after 7 years.

This beautiful patient had the first stage of midface descent causing the corner of the mouth to droop and early jowl. She wanted to be pro-active and correct it. She wanted to restore cheek fullness and projection and also get a cleaner jawline. She had the minimally invasive midface suspension (MIMS) otherwise known as “scarless” facelift. This patient was under local anesthesia and was awake and comfortable during the procedure. At the same time Dr. Anastasatos performed upper lip lift.

This patient underwent a facelift, neck lift, and endoscopic brow lift.

The facelift involved elevation of the malar fat pad combined with a deep plane SMAS lift, offering powerful midface rejuvenation. Lifting the malar fat pad also improves the tear trough and lower eyelid region.

The neck lift was performed with platysma plication in two areas: the midline (corset platysmaplasty) and laterally, to redefine the neck contour and restore a youthful neckline.

An endoscopic brow lift, the state-of-the-art procedure to rejuvenate the upper third of the face, was also performed. Think of it as a facelift for the upper face—opening the eyes, lifting the brows, and softening deep glabellar frown lines.
