🇬🇷 26th PSSE-Schroth Level 1 Course | Athens, Greece 🇬🇷

👉 14 physiotherapists from Greece and Cyprus participated in this 6-day educational course, which was successfully completed today in Athens.

🎯 During these intensive days, participants deepened their knowledge in scoliosis assessment, PSSE-Schroth classification, 3D correction principles, clinical reasoning, and practical application of our exercises.

👏 A big congratulations to all participants for their dedication, focus, and excellent energy throughout the course.

📌 We are proud to continue sharing the PSSE-Schroth method and supporting physiotherapists in developing their skills in evidence-based scoliosis rehabilitation.

Grateful to contribute to the Diploma of the Hellenic Spine Society — a program equivalent to the EUROSPINE Diploma — with a lecture on the role of rehabilitation in spinal deformities and conservative scoliosis management.

I truly believe that modern spine care cannot rely only on surgical education. Conservative treatment, rehabilitation, physiotherapeutic scoliosis-specific exercises (PSSE), bracing principles, patient education, and long-term functional management should be an essential part of the training of every spine specialist and orthopedic surgeon.

Spinal deformities are complex conditions that require an interdisciplinary approach, where surgeons, physiotherapists, orthotists, radiologists, and rehabilitation professionals work together with a common language and evidence-based philosophy for the benefit of the patient.

Very happy to see conservative management included within high-level spine education programs, helping bridge the gap between surgical and non-surgical care and promoting a more holistic and patient-centered approach in spine medicine.

Bracing and Physiotherapeutic Scoliosis Specific Exercises (PSSE) can be an alternative treatment option for severe scoliotic patients who refused surgery

👉 E-Poster Presentation:
3D Radiological and Clinical prognostic factors for failure and improvement of bracing for Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS): A comparative analysis

🎯 This year, our work focuses on the role of non-operative treatment in scoliosis management, including PSSE-Schroth exercises and bracing, with the aim of improving clinical decision-making and offering evidence-based alternatives for patients.

Grateful for the opportunity to present our clinical and research work at an international spine congress, and to continue promoting the importance of individualized, evidence-based conservative treatment for scoliosis.

Looking forward to inspiring discussions and scientific exchange in Istanbul.

PSSE-Schroth team had a very strong presence in SOSORT 2026 with 34 members of our Instructors and students participating in the course.

We contributed with 4 Oral Presentations and 5 Posters, receiving an excellent feedback for the quality of our studies.

Honored to be part of the SRS LEAD Cohort 2025–2026 and thankful for such a meaningful experience so far. Beyond the educational value of this leadership program and the IMAST Meeting, I have especially appreciated the opportunity to connect with the other members of the cohort. It is also a great personal and professional honor to be the first physiotherapist selected for this program.

I am also especially grateful for the opportunity to share wonderful personal moments, including dinner and meaningful conversations with the SRS Presidential Line and distinguished spine surgeons from around the world. These moments of connection, generosity, and shared vision made this experience even more memorable.

I sincerely thank the Scoliosis Research Society for this opportunity, and I look forward with great excitement to continuing this journey at the Annual Meeting in Sydney.
