Πόσες ζωές πρέπει να χαθούν ακόμη;
Για να καταλάβουν κάποιοι εργοδότες ότι η υγιεινή και ασφάλεια στην εργασία
δεν είναι «χαρτούρα» ούτε γραφειοκρατία,
αλλά υποχρέωση και ευθύνη.

Η φροντίδα για την ψυχική υγεία των εργαζομένων,
η πρόληψη της βίας και της παρενόχλησης,
η απαγόρευση των διακρίσεων
δεν είναι πολυτέλεια.

Είναι καθήκον.

Θυμός και ντροπή για όσα συμβαίνουν ακόμη στη χώρα μας.
Βαθύ πένθος για τις γυναίκες που χάθηκαν
και ειλικρινή συλλυπητήρια στις οικογένειες και στους συναδέλφους τους 🧡.

Μακάρι να είναι οι τελευταίες.
Να μη χρειαστεί να μετρήσουμε άλλες ζωές
για να αλλάξει κάτι.

On Wednesday, October 1st, I had the pleasure of attending the presentation of Fotini Papadimitriou’ new book «Η Πρώτη Έποικος (The First Greek Female Settler), hosted at the Australian Embassy in Athens by H.E. invited by Varvara Athanasiou-Ioannou

It was such an inspiring evening with strong Ipirotisses women creating history! Foteini beautifully highlighted the story of her grandmother Catherine Plunkett-Sommer, the first free Greek woman settler in Australia. The event brought together friends, colleagues, and distinguished guests in a warm atmosphere of dialogue, history, and culture.

A heartfelt congratulations to Fotini for this remarkable work that sheds light on an important piece of Greek-Australian history. 🇬🇷🇦🇺

Grateful to have shared this special evening with wonderful people and meaningful conversations.
