The Belonging Circle is happening for the first time next Saturday 🌿

After facilitating Open Circles in Athens over the past months, one thing kept surfacing again and again. Many of us are craving a more intimate, more grounded space to actually be honest about what we are moving through, especially as internationals building a life far from where we started.

We often carry the sense that no one else will get it. And then we find ourselves in a room with strangers who turn out to understand more than we expected.

That's what The Belonging Circle is here for. A small therapeutic space to slow down, open up, and feel less alone.

📅 Saturday the 18th · 5:00 PM
📍 Mavili Square, Athens
🎟️ €25 per person

Places are very limited to keep the space intimate. Register via the link in bio or send us a DM if you'd like to join.

🌿The Belonging Circle 🌿
A therapeutic space to slow down, open up, and feel a little more at home in yourself.

There is a particular kind of loneliness that shows up in a life you actually chose. It doesn't mean anything is wrong. It just means we are human, and being human somewhere far from where we started asks something of us that rarely gets talked about.

The Belonging Circle is a small therapeutic gathering in Athens, created for internationals and expats who are ready for a different kind of Saturday afternoon. One where you don't have to translate, explain, or hold it all together for two hours. Where you can simply arrive as you are.

What we sit with together

Facilitated by Georgiana Darău, integrative therapist and cultural psychologist, each edition holds space for the themes many of us live with but rarely get to name out loud:

🌱 perfectionism and the pressure to perform
🤍 identity and belonging in a new place
🌿 loneliness and disconnection, even inside a good life
💛 burnout and the need to slow down
✨ fitting in while staying true to yourself
🕊️ finding balance when everything feels scattered

The conversation is gently guided. There are prompts when they help and silence when it serves. Nothing is rushed. You share as much or as little as feels right.

Grounded.
Unhurried.
Connected.
Restorative.

A Sunday afternoon in Athens with people who chose to slow down, show up honestly, and make space for the kind of conversation we don't always get to have.

Thank you to everyone who was in the room. The next edition is on its way.

The Summer We Actually Need 🌿

Summer arrives with a particular kind of pressure. To travel, to do, to see, to make the most of every moment, to come back in September with a story worth telling.

But what if the more honest question is not what summer should look like, but what we actually need from it?

This month's Open Circle gathers around exactly that. A Sunday afternoon to step out of the noise of expectations and reconnect with what feels meaningful, restful, and yours. Honest conversation, gentle prompts, and the unhurried company of people asking themselves the same questions.

Someone told you that you were too sensitive. Maybe more than once. Maybe so many times that you stopped waiting for them to say it and started saying it to yourself first. 🌿

And that's the cruelest part of it. You took someone else's discomfort with your emotions and turned it into a verdict about who you are.

But sensitivity was never the problem. It's actually one of the most intelligent things a nervous system can do — to feel things deeply, to pick up on what's happening in a room, to care about the people around you. That's not weakness. That's attunement.

The problem was the environment. The people who didn't know what to do with someone who felt things fully. Who got uncomfortable, or dismissive, or told you to calm down, toughen up, not make such a big deal out of things. 🤍

And you adapted. Of course you did. You learned to apologize for having feelings. You learned to call it a flaw before anyone else could get there first.

That adaptation made sense then. It kept you safe in spaces that couldn't hold you.

But you're allowed to question it now. You're allowed to ask whether the story you've been telling about yourself was ever really yours to begin with. 🌱

Therapy has a reputation that keeps a lot of people away from it. Too serious, too uncomfortable, too much sitting in silence being analysed by someone taking notes.

And look, some of that exists. But it doesn't have to be the whole picture.

The sessions that actually move something (in my experience on both sides of the room) are the ones where there's enough safety to be real. Where you don't have to perform okayness or have your feelings perfectly articulated before you're allowed to bring them in. Where the relationship itself becomes part of the healing. 🤍

That's what I'm building here. One session at a time. 🌿

If you've been on the fence about starting, this might be your sign.

There is a particular kind of healing that doesn't get talked about enough. The kind where you stop waiting to be saved and start becoming the source of what you always needed: the safety, the validation, the compassion, the steadiness.

It doesn't happen overnight. It's the result of a lot of work, learning to sit with yourself, understanding where your patterns come from and choosing to respond differently and building a relationship with yourself that feels, for the first time, reliable.

Psychologists call this reparenting. The process of giving yourself, as an adult, what wasn't fully available to you growing up. The attunement, the boundaries, the unconditional acceptance. It's not about blame. It's about recognising what was missing and deciding you are capable of providing it for yourself.

And one day, without quite knowing when it happened, you realise you've grown into someone you would have desperately needed at your lowest point.

That's not a small thing. 🤍

We created this workshop because we kept meeting people who were exhausted in a way that sleep wasn't fixing. Not burned out in the dramatic sense, but disconnected. From their bodies, their emotions, what they actually need. Functioning, but not really there.

𝗥𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 is an afternoon I'm holding on June 21st in Athens. Breathwork, sound healing, guided reflection, and we close the day at the beach.
If you've been telling yourself you'll slow down later and take care of yourself when things settle, we made this for you. Later doesn't come on its own. Sometimes you have to choose it.

12 spots, kept that intimate on purpose. Link in comments section if you want to reserve yours. 🌿
